Free to read, republished from public-domain state data, and not legal advice.

### Using the site

The pages are free to read and to link to. The underlying data is released
by Washington State under the
 Open Data Commons Public
Domain Dedication and License . The joins and the derived fields — the
suspension history split in two, the shared-principal links, the bond and
insurance gaps — are our own work on that material.

**Nothing here is legal advice**, a recommendation, or an
assessment of any contractor. We take care over the extraction but do not
correct the source, and **nothing here replaces L&I's own verify
tool**, which is live where this site is a snapshot.

Automated bulk retrieval of the pages is not the intended use. The same data
is available as a file, described on [the datasets
page](/data.md).

### ⚠️ Not a consumer reporting agency

This site is **not** a consumer reporting agency as defined by
the **Fair Credit Reporting Act** (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.), and
nothing published or sold here is a consumer report.

You may not use this site, its pages, its search, its API or any dataset
obtained from it, in whole or in part, as a factor in deciding a person's
eligibility for:

- **employment**, promotion, reassignment or retention;
- **credit** or insurance underwriting;
- **housing** or tenancy;
- any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

Verifying that a licence exists, directly with the issuing authority, is a
different act from screening a person — and where a decision about someone
depends on it, the check belongs with a screening company that operates as a
consumer reporting agency and carries the obligations that come with it.

### Names, and why they appear here

This site republishes a public register that names people in their
professional capacity. It does not use anyone's name or identity to endorse,
advertise or sell anything, which is what Washington's Personality Rights Act (RCW 63.60) prohibits in Washington.

The distinction is not a technicality and we hold ourselves to it: no name
on this site appears in an advertisement, and no name is used to suggest that
someone recommends, supplies or is associated with anything sold here. If you
think a page crosses that line, tell us and it comes down.

### Having your registration removed

If you are named on this site and would rather not be, [write to us](/contact.md) and we will remove you. You do not have to explain why, and we
will not ask.

Two things this cannot do, and we say so plainly rather than let you find
out later: it does not change the official register, which is where the record
actually lives; and it does not remove you from anyone else's copy of the same
public data.

### The sources, and what they require

This site republishes public registers. Source by source: the licence it is published under, and the condition its publisher sets — read from the publisher's own terms page, on the date shown.

### Data sales

Alongside free consultation, this site offers datasets prepared from the
public register. **The pages of the site remain free ;** what
is charged for is the compilation work — extraction, reconciliation, dating and
formatting.

**Prices.** Prices are shown in USD, before any tax that may
apply depending on where the buyer is established. They may change ; the
price that applies is the one shown at the time of the order.

**Ordering and payment.** No payment is taken on this site and
no bank details are entered here. Orders are placed by form or by e-mail ;
an invoice is issued separately and is payable by bank transfer. Delivery
follows payment unless agreed otherwise.

**Delivery.** By download link, as CSV and Parquet, with the
field dictionary and the collection date. For a subscription, at every
collection, for the period subscribed.

**What is guaranteed, and what is not.** We guarantee that the
data delivered matches what was collected from the source on the stated date,
and that the fields are those described. **We do not guarantee that the
source itself is complete or accurate** : the register is published
by a public body and we do not correct it. The data is supplied for information
and does not replace consulting the official register.

**If the delivery does not suit you.** Tell us within fourteen
days. If the delivery does not match what was described, it is corrected or
refunded. A subscription can be stopped at any time for the following period,
with no notice and no penalty.

**Re-use.** The underlying facts come from a public register and
belong to no one. What you buy is the prepared file : you may use it inside
your organisation and in your own products. Reselling the file as such, as a
competing product, is not covered.
